On this project, Travcar was looking for our web design agency to help them re-build their existing employee website. The site was mainly informational and used for employee training purposes. For this project, Travcar was looking to re-design their website and add employee training tools on the website. We began the project by updating Travcar’s website with a new theme. We thought this would help the site have a more modern design and better user experience. Next, we upgraded the content structure to a user-friendly format. After we completed the foundational work, we began designing new tools for the website. We started by linking Google’s Calendar app to the site. Adding this feature made it possible for Travcar’s managers to schedule meetings with staff. We also designed a few different employee review forms on the website. In the past Travcar only used paper forms for employee reviews. By adding this tool, we made it possible for employees to log on the site, fill out a review form and electronically submit the form to senior management. We also created a job applications section where candidates could to fill out and submit applications online. At the end of the project, we were happy that Travcar’s new website was more straightforward to use and that it improved their HR operations.
